Dr. Mahmud is a Managing Partner of Liberty Semper Fidelis LP. He was called to the Bar in 1993.

He specialises in public law, human rights, Intellectual Property and Trademarks.

He has represented victims of miscarriage of justice and public law, notably families of police brutality.  Dr Mahmud has been exceptionally committed to political protest cases and represents a number of protesters. He recently represented protesters who were arrested at the EndSARS protests. He also has extensive practice experience of Intellectual Property, Trademark and Technology law; and advises clients on copyrights, designs and patents, license agreements, data privacy and protection, consumer protection, and  regulatory compliance.
